Shopping in The Old Town / Gamla Stan
With good walking shoes, we along the wharf, up the castle hill and turns left, into Old Town maze of small streets. Old Town is vältryfferad with boutiques, antique shops, BRIC à brac and other things that embellish life. If you prefer, you can call the Old Town of Stockholm's largest shopping malls. Wall to wall all along the Western Street are boutiques and restaurants. Most of us end up on Western Street, but we prefer quiet Österlånggatan, exciting and safe Kauppiaskatu Stora Nygatan. Are there any tourist traps here?
Sure there are, but most are fun, curious and unusual. Especially if you're looking up into the alleyways.
Österlånggatan has a wide range
There is plenty to discover and browse! The best gift is the address of Sweden Bookshop, with beautiful objects and classic Swedish books in lots of languages! Österlånggatan has a wide range, especially the handicraft and textile shops. If it then had time to be happy afternoon, we enjoy a välblandad cocktail or glass of wine at the bar on the gondola, at Slussen. To sit here in a leather armchair and look at how the dusk descends over the city and the water is hard to beat pleasures.
